ABOUT LAB
Since arriving as a associate professor at the Endowed Chair for Renewable Energy in the Department of Symbiotic Systems Science and Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Fukushima University in July 2016, I have conducted research on biomass energy implementation In April 2021, I moved to the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute in Tsukuba City as a senior researcher, where I am currently working.
My research focuses on local biomass and how to extract energy from it sustainably and implement it in society. Specifically, the research aims to develop technologies for hydrogen production, electricity generation and biofuel production using small-scale, decentralised technologies such as gasification, and to develop low environmental impact and low-cost technologies by assessing their environmental and economic performance from the production to the use stage using a life cycle approach. The aim is to develop sustainable implementation that goes beyond mere technological development.
